Up for sale is my Leica M6 TTL. I bought this camera back in 2015 and immediately sent it to Gus Lazzari at TLC Camera Repair. It took literally TWO YEARS to get my camera back. For those of you who have never heard of Gus Lazzari, he's one of the most reputable Leica repair specialists in the United States. He takes his time and is possibly the best. Google him, you'll see I'm not making this up. So why am I selling it? Well, while I patiently waited for TWO YEARS I bought a Leica MP and a Leica IIIg. I really don't have the need for this beautiful Leica M6. Now about the camera...
It's a Leica M6 TTL 0.72 Serial number 2481962. This serial number dates the camera as being built 1999. The CLA included:
- Recalibration of the shutter speeds
- New lubrication (the lube in these cameras tends to dry out over time)
- Calibration of Vertical and Horizontal RF standards
- Checked the light meter
- Added "L" seal
- Added the Leica RF anti-flare upgrade (additional $188)
- A bunch more stuff you can read on the picture of the invoice
Gus Lazzari rated the body condition as "Excellent Plus" stating "Top and bottom plate black chrome finishes are free of abrasions and blemishes". The bottom plate still has the sticker on it! Along with the purchase I'll send all the paperwork that he sent me. Again, this is practically new and I didn't use it once I got it back. I just opened the package, took the pictures and put it back in the box. YOU WILL NOT FIND ANOTHER LEICA M6 IN THIS CONDITION ON eBay!!!
