18mm NOS 1970's Swiss Made Tropic SLOTTED 'Mod Dep' watch strap with ORIGINAL stealth buckle Stock number *24018*. FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD 1 x regular length Tropic slotted watch band. These are super rugged bands which originally came supplied with a stealth buckle (its black). Buckle is made of nylon (essentially it looks and feels like plastic but is much more hardwearing). Original Tropic stock number (on band) - 24018 18mm lug size. Straight ends. Made in Switzerland. Really nice band, super rugged looking, super tough/hard wearing. Makes any regular timepiece look nice and chunky. I'm a big fan of this Tropic variant myself - although much like the Tropic 'Star' this too is a little under-appreciated with most collectors still drawn to the 'Sport' model. The slotted is perfect for a military/aviator watch and perfect for collectors who appreciate something a little different. Condition is as pictured (NEW). I cannot notice any defects myself but I would rather encourage the buyer to study the images I have posted and make up their own mind regarding the condition; although the strap is new it has been in storage for over 40 years and as a consequence probably needs a wipe down at the buckle end which after those 40 or so years in storage may have slight pitting, indentations and/or light storage marks which is to be expected. You may notice a fine line running down the centre of the band, this is from the manufacturing process and ALL of this particular Tropic variant have this. Take a close look, magnify it. Just as an FYI. I have a vast selection/collection of Tropic watch bands, these are genuinely the only ones I have of this particular stock number so if you want one I urge you to grab it whilst it's available.
