◄█ Standard Length, Right-Handed, Matching Serial Number (H-00072752) Set of 1999 Ben Hogan Apex Forged Blade Irons including the 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and Equalizer (Pitching Wedge) with Apex 4 (Stiff) steel shafts and the original Hogan rubber grips in Standard size. These are Japanese forgings of 1030 Carbon Steel Billet (feels solid yet soft) and are arguably one of the most workable yet the easiest-to-hit (largest "sweet spot" ) of all the Hogan blades.

These clubs were Spalding's big re-launch of the Ben Hogan brand (Spalding bought Hogan in late 1997) and they cut NO corners! The 1999 Apex blades were built by the "Dream Team" of golf design and manufacture. Enter Project Director Jeff Sheets (Sheets Design Group - [Hogan, MacGregor, Top Flite, Golfsmith, Wilson Staff, Scor, Lynx, Sake Eyes, Zevo, +more]) who attributes assistance and several design refinement ideas to Ronnie MacGraw (former long-time HOGAN tour rep) and Lanny Wadkins (Hogan Staff member/played Hogans on the PGA Tour). These Blades were CAD modeled by Tom Stites who had long worked for Ben Hogan before the brand left Fort Worth in the mid 1990s (owned Impact Engineering at the time but Stites is best-known for developing ALL Nike Golf clubs from the inception of Nike Golf through Stites' 2013 retirement). Models were hand-grinded by Mike Taylor (Modeler who went with Stites to Nike and runs the modeling shop in "The Oven", Nike's prototype/modeling/grind shop [YES, the guy who did all of Tiger Woods' grinds during the pinnacle of his career]), and then of course, forging by Endo Manufacturing of Japan (manufactures some of the best forged clubs on planet Earth).

SO...these blades were designed, engineered, and manufactured by the Who's Who of the golf industry. They are truly timeless in their look, feel, and performance. I know these are a bit pricey for used clubs but 1999 sets in this condition are very hard to come by. If you like them, Don't Wait!

◄█ CONDITION: CLEAN! Matched Set. Heads show minor wear & bag chatter as well as some minor paint & chrome wear. Ferrules are fully intact with no cracks or chips. Shafts are excellent with no rust, dents or bends but the labels are a bit worn/peeled. Grips need replacement. The 4 & 7 Irons have nicks on the toe, the 8 iron has a nick on the face, and the Equalizer has some scratches through the chrome on the sole's trailing edge and a nick on the face. Overall these irons are in great shape and have a TON of life left in them! You will NOT be disappointed!

FINALLY!! A listing with 12 proper photos so you don't have to make a "blind" purchase!
