1981 Fiat 124 Spider CSO 2000 (2 litre) Convertable Pininfarina

This is a USA Import in 1991 Fiat Spider Convertable. It needs work on the radiator/heating piping and a new battery but other than this after MOT'ing and taxing it, it should be ready for spring and summer driving.

Fiat 124 History: The 124 Sport Spider (called the 2000 Spider from 1979 to 1982 and the Pininfarina Spider Azzura from 1982 to 1985) is a 2+2 convertible sport car that was marketed by Fiat from 1966 to 1982 and by Pininfarina from 1982 to 1985. The bodies were made and assembled by Pininfarina during the entire model run, from introduction at the November 1966 Turin Auto Show, until production ended in 1985 to build the Cadillac Allante. A majority of the cars were exported to the United States. The car was sold in Europe and the U.S. from its introduction until the 1975 model year when it was modified to comply with new U.S. regulations and no European version was produced. Sales in Europe resumed when Pininfarina took over production in 1982 under the name Pininfarina Europa Spider.

Details of Fiat: Relucantly for sale. 124 Spider Pininfarina 1981 New York Import. I've had this for 7 approx. years (2004) and had it serviced up to April 2009. However about a month later the heating/radiator hose burst and then battery went flat so kept it off the road pending repair. However a new house purchase means my baby has to go! It is pick up only (with a car trailer!), due to previous problems mentioned. The bodywork is good but there are a few rust bubbles on some of the wheel arches and front edge of bonnet! Milage is 94k, no Tax, no MOT BUT a few repairs will get this back on the road easily! I've never had much problems with it. There is also an A4 sized folder full of USA import documents servicing receipts, MOT's, user manual etc etc! The girl in the final picture is not for sale but demonstrates its pulling ability - LOL! There is a brand new £100+ CD player fitted (badly) free with the car and the New York Mot disc is still in the windscreen - coooool!!! Good honest car and would suit a fiat enthuisast.
