Basic Information.

 Rickenbacker 4003 in MapleGlo made in the year 2000.

Nicely FIGURED Birdseye maple grain on the Body & neck.

THE CASE IS NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AD
IT WAS ONLY USED FOR PHOTOGRAPHIC PURPOSES.

I had to take some hasty pictures if I want to catch the other RIC I'm after.
SO please excuse the quality and dust on some of the pictures!

I bought it to have a player RIC on hand, but as those of you with terminal GAS know,
SOMETHING ELSE just came up and I'm scratching to raise funds.

I recently purchased this bass as a "PROJECT".
It had a damaged truss rod.
BRAND NEW RICKENBACKER TRUSS RODS were installed by my luthier.
Fresh set of DR HIGHBEAMS were installed and the bass was setup & intonated
for my playing style.

The neck DOES have a SLIGHT hump on the first few frets, but as you can see by the pictures
it's has nice MED to MED/LOW action and plays very well.
I'm sure most players would never even notice it, but I try to disclose everything!

No buzzing.

SOUNDS KILLER!
This one DOES have that classic RIC sound.

So long as you don't want 1mm above the 12th fret action, this is your bass.

It's a PLAYER, NOT A SHOW PIECE.
Multiple dings, bangs and bumps as pictured.
LOTS of rash on the back but it didn't break through the finish.
You have to angle it in the light to see it.

This bass has seen some use, but the frets are great, electronics are fully functional,
and it's ready to play.

The truss rod is maxed out on the one side to compensate the neck sitting with a broken rod for a long time.
They are EVENLY tightened and LOOK like there is plenty of thread to go, but doesn't.
Your own Luthier or even yourself, if you are handy with this sort of thing, might be able to get
some more room out of it. Some folks use washers to get some more space.

BUT it plays fine here in humid Florida and for the price, it's a great RIC.
