I don't get to use this bike a great deal so sadly it's for sale. I have seen a few of these traded of late and prices vary considerably. Generally non or poor runners sell for below £600, but I have seen one which appeared to have been restored reach nearly £2000!

This 28 year old machine (frame number PD03..) was first registered in this country in March 2002 and was an Italian import. As such it has a speedo calibrated in KM and a beam deflector on the headlight and the supplied V5 shows 3 former keepers. It has an MOT until June 2012 but is currently declared off road (no tax). Speedo shows 46486km (28885).

This is an old bike and as such is not in showroom condition, but as these machines go, this one is in fair shape as the photographs will show. The tyres have some life left and the rest of the bike is quite tidy with a number of parts added by me which include: fork seals, chain slider, front disk and pads and the speedo gear and cable. Whilst the chain slider was being fitted, all the swinging arm bearings were removed and cleaned. A new clutch and springs were also fitted. I do have a few other bits and bobs which will be sold with the bike (o rings, decomp cables etc).

The previous owner has had some engine work done which accounts with the ease in which the bike starts and runs. There is a knack to it, but it will usually go after the 3rd or 4th kick. The engine runs without rattle or knock and I have not noted any oil leaks. Indeed I have not needed to top the oil up since it and the oil and air filters were replaced.

By reading this it's likely you know what you are looking for, and as these go, this is an honest example. As can be seen in the pics, some of the plastic is not brand new, but it is an ok condition considering the age of the bike. Basically it starts with ease, goes like a train and stops when you want it to - all of that done without any fuss or drama! It is also quite cool to ride...
