The Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A3030 9.2-Channel Network AV Receiver features a full discrete amp configuration that supports 9.2-channels of surround sound with 9-channels powered at up to 165W per channel. It's compatible with both Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD audio decoding. Plus, all channels are equipped with 192 kHz / 24-bit DACs, as well as ultra-low jitter PLL circuitry for optimized sound imaging. For added vibration and noise absorption, the receiver also features an Anti-Resonance Technology (A.R.T.) Wedge, which is a fifth foot in the center of the unit.
The RX-A3030 features eight HDMI inputs that support 4K pass-through, 4K upscaling, 3D pass-through and CEC functionality. There are two HDMI outputs as well, which support simultaneous Zone A/B output. The system also provides AirPlay wireless music streaming with the AV Controller app, as well as MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) mirroring for sending up to Full HD 1080p video and 7.1-channel audio through the receiver to a compatible HDTV. The receiver also features expandability to 11.2-channels with an external amplifier.
The RX-A3030 has a variety of other connectivity options. There are multiple analog video and audio connections, as well as several optical and coaxial digital audio inputs and outputs. There is also a network RJ-45 Ethernet jack and a front panel USB port where you can connect your iPod, iPhone, iPad, USB thumb drive or other USB-equipped digital music player. The USB port will display your iPod, iPhone and iPad song titles in multiple languages on the front panel display as well. And, the RX-A3030 supports charging of your iPod, iPhone or iPad via USB - even when the receiver is off. When using the AV Controller app, you can easily operate various functions from your iPod, iPhone, iPad or Android mobile device.
Yamaha equipped the RX-A3030 with additional channels of audio and an extra subwoofer output. You can use a 2.1-channel setup can be used for Zone 2 or Zone 3 output of your audio signal into another room, while still leaving the main unit 7.1-channel surround sound or 5.1-channel surround sound if you're taking advantage of multiple zones. The system also supports FLAC or WAV 192 kHz / 24-bit audio playback, as well as HDMI CEC for control and powering up of compatible TVs and Blu-ray disc players.
The RX-A3030 features a compressed music enhancer for improving the sound quality of compressed music files and a high-resolution music enhancer that provides a hi-bit high-sampling extension up to 96 kHz / 24-bit, which can be applied to lossless 44.1 kHz /48 kHz content such as from a CD. Plus, the receiver affords multiple SCENE options and YPAO R.S.C. sound optimization for automatic speaker setup. It even features an Eco-mode for energy conservation. The RX-A3030 works with Yamaha's optional Wi-Fi and Bluetoothwireless adapters as well.
