I have too many bikes and am out of room in the shop. So, up for sale is my SUPER clean 1986 Honda ATC200x. This bike has very, very low hours. It is one of the nicest 200x's I have come across over the years of collecting ATC's. I have the original owners manual, a california title and the original tool kit (see pics).

This machine has had NO restoration done and is all original. Finding an 86 or 87 ATC200x in this condition is very difficult.

The low hour condition is reinforced and noted by the lack of frame wear and frame rub on the shifter side of the bike, an area known to wear on the 200x, as well as the original Ohtsu P/V tires. The bike shows little to no wear on the grips.

(Note: the 86 200x and 350x came equipped as new with P/V tires and NOT Pro Vector, so please do not email me and tell me the tires have been replaced - they have not)

The plastic on the bike is near perfect. It has some normal scuffs, but almost no deep scratches and certainly no cracks.

The kill switch has almost no fading and looks like new. The seat is soft and plush, like new.  Even the fuel hose is OEM and shows no signs of ever being removed.

Gas tank is clean and dent free, no rust, and looks great. Some light scuffs, but nothing that is not on par with the age or condition.

I bought this bike from the estate of the original owner. It had about 1 inch of dust on it when i got it and had been stored in a shed in the California Desert for nearly 20 years. I think the dust helped to protect it from aging! But once I got it home and cleaned it up, I could not believe how nice it is. The family of the original owner thought it had maybe 5 rides on it or so, but they were not sure. They were sure the bike had sat for most of its life.  The overall condition of the bike would support that notion.

Clean California title is in hand.

Condition notes that could be negative:
  • Air filter is original and needs to be replaced. Inside of Airbox is clean enough to eat out of.
  • One fork boot is torn at the bottom, see pics.
Thats about it. The 86-87 200x fork boots are known to rip an tear. Thus, I have a pair of NEW OEM Style replacement fork boots which I will include. See pics.

I have had this bike for about two years, and I have not run or driven it since I first got it. Thus it might need to clean the carb, but I am not certain. It is has stored dry, so you might be able to add gas and go, and if you want to ride it. But the machine is so nice, I would hate to see it ridden, although a buyer can do whatever he/she chooses to do.

Bike is advertised locally, so I reserve the right to end listing if a buyer comes forward. Hit me up if you are serious buyer.

Please look closely at photos. I am just a nut for these old ATC's and have a nice collection of them. I am looking to sell a few extras that I have, including a 250r (85 and 86), a 350x, a 87 250sx and a few others. Let me know what you are looking for and I might just have it.

If you are an international buyer, please see below for more details, but I can work with you on getting the bike shipped.

The boring stuff (but please read):

Shipping:
I suggest you use Daily Direct for transport. Call them at 888-haulbikes, they are professionals with a strong track record of moving expensive and nice motorcycles. I also have some other shipping options as well, and some that are much cheaper than you might think, so hit me up with any questions, but Daily Direct is very good, and offers door to door roll on and roll off service.

I can and will ship international, but the buyer must coordinate this, as the process can be cumbersome. I will assist as best as possible and do have really good access to shippers to the UK, Europe  and Australia. I can also ship to the middle east as well.

Payment:
A $500 non refundable deposit is due within 24 hours of closing, or a friendly phone call or clear email on who you are and how you intend to close the deal. I am very easy to work with, but a little clear communication goes a long way with me. Paypal is fine for deposit, but the fee and commission they take is very high.  Cash is preferred, but we will take payment however is easiest for you for to send, as we understand that some buyers might be out of the country. Cash, wire transfer, bank check, Paypal, WU, Carrier Pidgin - whatever - but as long as it clears our bank and you are not playing the Nigerian lottery with me, I could care less how it comes.

If you are a serious buyer and have the money in hand, I am happy to talk to you on the phone about whatever questions or interest you have in the bikes. But please, no time wasters or tire kickers.

The bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the listing at any time if a local buyer comes forward.
