baffle system featuring a fixed internal baffle and 3" stainless steel
tunable disk
system fitting 2000-2002 ZX6R, 2005-2009 Kawasaki ZZR600 stock header pipe (side exhaust mount with header back to tail pipe is a singe unit and must be cut to slip on extremeblaster short pipe).
Pipe also
comes with a quiet core plug that can be installed and removed in seconds to make the exhaust
extra stealthy and meet most any sound decibel testing around the globe.
The Extremeblaster Super Sport also can be purchased with a slash cap
and 6) additional 3" plates (see below) for a more sport look and
further quiet the exhaust to achieve smooth running capability similar
too stock exhaust. The extra plates can be added to return to full power
mode (but will get louder). Please note the red stripe in the photos
has been removed for quality control purposes.
XB08SS incorporates high efficiency disk technology producing a clean burning exhaust with better low end torque, response and top end horsepower with the same or better fuel economy over the stock design. No additional fuel needed from a fuel controller or jet change to compensate for the shorter pipe. This is a tuned exhaust system with a careful balance of low end torque and top end power delivery. Disk pipe delivers awesome acceleration like adding 2-3 teeth to your rear sprocket and delivers deep low RPM tone that is not excessively loud at low/mid-range RPM like most short aftermarket pipes and meets SAE 92-100db std at idle/5k rpm. Pipe is ready to bolt on to stock header and runs great with stock carburetors or Dyno jet kits (no jetting required). Incredible superbike tone not found on any other aftermarket pipe today. New for July 2014 - Deep socket threaded inserts (3 x 1/4") used to tighten cap and plates down for added quality and torque 2000 degree flat black coating on the cap for powder coated models for temp and weather resistance.
New for August 2014 High Performance SS alternate (recommended for 900cc and above with tunable plates for performance)
Fixed internal baffle plate removal (quite core) for tunable plate models. Quite core baffle plug cannot be used
Louder deeper tone for performance minded individuals (no fuel controller required)
This set up without internal baffle plate is louder and may not meet noise regulations in certain jurisdictions. However the slash cap assembly can tame the tone down to acceptable levels.
