DESCRIPTION
This reel was new from Hardy in late 2012. It was selected as 2012's Freshwater Reel of the Year. This is a practical, reliable cassette reel with a stunning aesthetic design. The reel comes with 3 polycarbonate spools included to store your primary line and 2 backups. The design incorporates a very large arbor, a magnum arbor if you like, to minimize line memory and maximize rapid retrieval of line. Still, it retains the capability for large backing capacity. This Model 5000 reel will be perfect for 5-weight, 6-weight & 7-weight lines. The Model 7000 reel will be the one to choose for 7-weight, 8-weight & 9-weight lines.
The centralized twin Rulon disc drag gives the fisherman smooth, powerful line control. The reel frame is made from 6061 aerospace grade aluminum and is fully anodized. Conversion from left-hand to right-hand retrieve is done without tools. New in Ultralite series of reels is a positive release for ease of removing and mounting a cassette. The “CLS” in the name stands for “Cassette Locking System”. The Hardy Ultralite CLS uses the Hardy system of Fly Line Identification – small colored plastic pins inserted into marked holes in the cassette to identify the line weight & type. Enough identification pins are included to mark at least 3 fly lines. Also included is a Hardy neoprene reel and cassette case.
The Ultralite CLS9000 reel was added to the line in late 2013. It is large enough to work with spey rods or 11/12-weight fly rods.

We primarily use U.S. Mail - Priority Mail Service because when we consider all factors in shipping, they are our best option - free boxes, low-cost service, & fast delivery to all parts of the U.S. from our central location. We use Priority Mail over Parcel Select because of the faster delivery and less time for your purchase to be exposed to the hazards inherently involved in shipping by any method.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING
Again we strive to ship all of our international orders by the next business day. We also primarily use U.S. Mail - Priority International Service for the same reason that we use them in domestic shipping. We are also pleased to participate in eBay's new Global Shipping Program whenever possible and hope that it expands to cover more countries of the world soon. We believe that it brings the buyer lower postage costs, faster deliveries, and fewer surprises on import charges. We are pleased to be able to ship to more places in this world than many others. Our restricted country list is extremely short.
When shipping international orders by other than the Global Shipping Program, international orders are not subject to U.S. taxes. However, it is likely that import duties will be applied by the country to which a package is shipped. The buyer is responsible for payment of applicable duties, taxes & other fees.
