They are made from 3M Traction tape.They are a form of grip tape but nothing like your standard skateboard style stuff. They are very durable and can't be blown off with a pressure washer. Like any type of traction tape, they will wear. My design has ALL NECESSARY holes cut out for a perfect factory fit. **Please specify the year of your bike so that I can send you the proper right side guard. They changed the brake light indicator bracket from mounting to the frame in 2009. If you do not specify which year you will receive the one with both cut outs like in the pictures. All orders will be complete with proper installation instructions.
