The slightly heavier counterweight has the advantage that it will sit closer to the tonearm once adjusted adding to the rigidity
of the assembly. This is suitable for use with any weight of cartridge. but enables the use of heavier cartridges if required

The Brass version is 21g heavier than the standard Rega.

The stub and counterweight assembly will fit any Rega,  RB250, RB 251, RB300, and others.
IMPORTANT: If your Rega tonearm has the standard stub threading or if the
 standard plastic stub will fit, then this stainless steel stub upgrade will also fit.

Fitting:Simply unscrew the original plastic stub from your Rega tonearm,
replace it with the new upgraded stainless stub and re fit the weight.
Adjust the weight position and set the tracking weight using an accurate digital scale.

The upgrade provides a more rigid and solid assembly than the original Rega.
The counterweight has a low centre of gravity which helps to improve tracking, stability and improved sonic qualities.

The  large "O" ring fitted on the counterweight acts as a vibration damper and hides the adjustment screw,
three more smaller stub "O" rings are supplied, helping to dampen any vibrations running along the stub shaft and stub thread.
The "O" rings are also used as "stop markers" when adjusting the counterweight position.
One stub thread "O" ring will be also be fitted.
