Method Feeder 11'
The Drennan Series 7 Puddle Chucker 11ft Method Feeder is slightly more powerful than the 11ft Carp Feeder. This model had everything required to cast a range of bombs and feeders while retaining enough sensitivity and forgiveness to play and land hard-fighting carp without problems.
Loaded Method feeders can, but not always, weigh a significant amount and to be able to cast these effortlessly and with accuracy a rod with more power is needed. If a rod is over-gunned it might cast feeders very well but can cause problems when playing the fish with hook pulls and line breakages the most common. Therefore getting the balance right between the two characteristics is important.
Suggested reel lines are in the range of 4lb to 8lb with hooklengths matched accordingly. Supplied with slow taper glass Feedertips of 2oz and 3oz which are ideal for the positive tactics associated with fishing the Method and big feeders. At 11ft it is the most popular length, being short enough to tuck the rod tight to the bank and long enough to help with both playing fish and casting accuracy.
This two-section rod can be made up ready for use, folded and stored in its own padded rod sleeve, which is supplied as a standard. The rod sleeve has a small upper internal pocket to hold the spare Feedertips and the whole thing comes complete with three neoprene straps to help keep everything together. On the outside is a clear pocket containing a number of white waterproof labels so you can clearly mark what the rod is set up for.
Carp Feeder 11'
The Drennan Series 7 Puddle Chucker 11ft Carp Feeder is an excellent fish playing rod that is ideal for carp and quality fish on commercial waters. Slightly longer than the 10ft Carp Feeder but with similar attributes.
The extra length will allow you to cast that bit further with ease, while maintaining good accuracy with heavier feeders. It still has that all-important shock-absorbing ‘through action’ with plenty of hidden power lower down to control good sized commercial carp. With ideal reel lines between 4lb and 7lb this rod is a really versatile allrounder. It will cast anything from light bombs to big feeders and Method feeders and allow you to do so with accuracy and confidence.
The two glass quivertips at 2oz and 3oz give a softer, more prolonged bite indication which is ideal for stillwater fishing in general and carp in particular. The special shock absorber through action is designed to reduce hook pulls and to help subdue bigger, hard fighting fish quickly and efficiently.
It is also designed to break down into two equal length sections with one of its quivertips in place, making it really convenient to set up and put away quickly.
Carp Feeder 10'
The Drennan Series 7 Puddle Chucker 10ft Carp Feeder is an excellent fish playing rod that is absolutely ideal for carp on small commercial waters. It is the shortest in a family of three Carp Feeder rods and ideal for short-range work and tight pegs. Despite being only 10ft it is very capable of casting bombs and small feeders accurately and landing small to medium carp quickly.
It has power in reserve to let you steer carp away from obstructions yet not so much as to risk hook pulls or line breakages. The shorter length also allows you to bring fish much closer for convenient netting. With ideal reel lines between 3lb and 6lb it will handle anything from light bombs through to medium feeders.
The two slow-taper glass tips of 1.5oz and 2oz will help exaggerate bites and the special shock absorber action will reduce hook pulls. It is also designed to break down into two equal length sections with one of its quivertips in place, making it really convenient to set up and put away quickly.
