The Pendleton Navajo Water blanket is derived from a photograph taken by famous American photographer Edward S. Curtis. The blanket features geometric saw-toothed designs and the dragonfly, sybolizing water and life. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this blanket benefit the American College Indian Fund.
Unnapped Blanket: The fibers of an unnapped blanket have not been pilled which produces a thinner and denser feeling blanket. Many of the old Pendleton blankets were unnapped.
