The Bust Measurement Of A Jacket or Coat
Should Be 2" (Inches) Larger Than A Person's Actual Bust Measurement. 
If You Run A Tape Measure Around The Bust Right Under The Armpits And It
Is 40 Inches Then You Would Need A Size 42" (Size 12) Jacket Or Coat. 

The Reason Is That You Need To Allow The Extra
Couple Of Inches For A Blouse Or Dress. Then You Will Be Able To Comfortably
Move About.  Just Remember Whatever Your Bust Measurement Is Add 2" And
That Will Give You Your Coat And Jacket Size.  

All The Jackets, Coats & Sweaters Are Listed By The Bust Size.
Example:   Bust 40" = Size 10
