What a stunning piece! The jugendstil design is so striking and extremely unique. It slides open to reveal a mirror, though this can be removed if desired. The mirror does have a touch of wear from age as shown. The piece is hallmarked on the side with a makers mark and "Alpaca Silber" meaning a silver metal alloy. There is a touch of wear as shown, though it simply adds to the aged look of the piece, and some slight denting to the back not seen when worn. A wonderful piece for any collection!
