A comfortable 8x6mm , this is a great stone. All sorts of red, blue and green flash on a black background. If this were a mined stone, it'd cost $1,000/ct, but it's not and so you and I can both afford it. This looks just like your best Lightning Ridge Opal, but it's not.
Oh, and it's a LOT more durable too. Nothing gives you a bad day worse than your $1,000/ct natural black opal getting cracked up the middle just 'cause you wore it on a cold day. That won't happen with this material. Very durable, and if there's a problem, very inexpensive.
