VINTAGE 1950s HARD PLASTIC AMANDA JANE JINX DOLL
This lovely hard plastic doll was made by Amanda Jane, although the doll itself has only 'England' moulded into her back. She is retained within her original plastic packet with card top and does not appear to have ever been removed. The doll has straight legs, a blond styled wig, and plastic sleeping eyes. She has rosy cheeks and lips and painted eyebrows and eyelashes. She has jointed limbs and a jointed neck and is unclothed. We believe her to date from the 1950s.
Condition: Overall in very good condition with some storage wear. She does not appear to have ever been removed from the packet, but she does seem to have some slight grubbiness inside the packet. There is a small split to the seam of her right-hand foot. Her stringing is loose. Her sleeping eyes are temperamental at times. There are some manufacturing defects as might be expected. The packet has some age-related wear. The plastic part is a little discoloured and has some straching and a couple of small holes. The cardboard top of the packet has some creasing and wear and the staples are rusted.
