If you wish to upgrade your air filter for improved economy, performance and the all important sound of your vehicle, you need to support it to prevent the mass air flow pipe from splitting and eliminate the chance of damaging your new air filter and very expensive air sensor unit.

This bracket is manufactured from lightweight aluminium. It uses the fixing points of the original air filter box located on the inner wing, so there is no need to drill holes. You also use the original bolts to fit the bracket. The bracket holds the MAF pipe flange in its original location.

As shown in the Photos, when the original air filter box is removed you are left with the end of the mass air flow pipe that has a solid plastic flange that fits through the bracket and the 3 inch air filter of your choice (not included)  is then fitted to that. Simple and quick to fit. All your sensors are still attached to the mass air flow pipe. Please let me know if you wish to fit this item to a BMW e46 330 Petrol as the 330 bracket has a larger hole in it and I can supply you with the correct bracket for your vehicle.
