What a beautiful wedding gown. So delicate and feminine. This dates from around 1895-1910.

The top and skirt are made of a find batiste cotton with numerous pintucks and bands of delicate lace.
The collar has pintucks, a lace insert and a small lace ruffle. The bodice closes with small buttons that have a hand-crocheted, or tatted covering.
The back waist is gathered and stitched and has a cord. The front is left loose and flowing. I stuffed the sleeves with tulle for display purposes.

The skirt has row after row of pintucks with two bands of lace. This took some little lady quite a long time to create.

I'm including a period-correct petticoat, but it is not original to the dress. It's longer than the skirt, but can be easily hemmed.

Collar: 13"
Shoulders: 16"
Shoulder to back waist: 14"
Bust and waist: Full
Skirt waist: 30"
Waist to front hem: 39"
Waist to train hem: 54"

The gown is in good condition considering its age. There are a few repairs, one missing button and some small tears, holes and fraying on the blouse. Some these can be mended, but the dress displays nicely as is.

The skirt is wearable as is, but if I were going to wear it, I would underline it with cotton to help support the fabric.

A lovely antique wedding gown, reasonably priced.
