Up for sale is a Vintage GITZO Tele-Studex Giant Tripod- Geared center column w/ Gitzo PL 5 Head-I don't know much about this tripod and head only what i have researched and what i can see.
The tripod is in good used condition with minor cosmetic wear- scratches, some light surface rust on some screws - there is
no crank handle for the center column and one of the pulls on the locking mechanism doesn't catch- you can manually
pull out the lock- it can open up completely for table top use. the PL-5 Head is in good condition- seems to move freely
The handle has some old tape on it and under it looks like the plastic end piece is cracked.
The tripod extends to approx 68" fully extended.
I couldn't find a model number on the tripod- i assume it is under one of the plates on the top.
This is a very nice, very heavy duty tripod and head- Item will be sold as is- please see all photos.
