You are looking at the brand new and sealed promo release of the game Resident Evil Revelations by Capcom for the Xbox 360. It contains the full game and is one of only 500 that were made and states ‘Promotional Copy – Not For Resale’ on both sides of the case as you can see. The promo game is brand new and sealed with just a tiny gap in the cellophane on the spine (see photo 4).
Please note that when the game is moved you can hear the disc inside the case, so I believe the disc has come loose.
For the unaware, promo versions of games are issued in small numbers directly by the publishers to retailers and reviewers slightly ahead of the official release of the game in the actual shops. They are the full game and the contents of the disc itself is identical to the one you would find in any shop. Promo games are thought only to be printed in batches of 500, which can make them a target for collectors of particular titles. They do not come with separate manuals or cases, but instructions are usually found in-game. Some promos come with inlays and some do not, it depends entirely on the publisher in question.
