You are bidding on the following: An Olympia SM9 DeLuxe Manual Typewriter and Hard Case made in West Germany. I believe this item was made in the 1950s or 1960s / Mid-Century but I'm not really sure. NOTE: I listed this as "SM9 DeLuxe" because it looks very much like other typewriters I found on ebay, but I can't find the word "Deluxe" anywhere on it, so maybe it's some other model. The typewriter still works but obviously needs a good cleaning and probably some adjustments, and I'm sure a new ribbon would help. It looks pretty dirty and some of the keys are very sluggish and I'm not sure what all maintenance, adjustments, parts or repairs might be necessary to bring it up to top condition. I see at least one broken part - a clear plastic cover on the left side of the platen (see photos) and also I believe there could be at least one missing part (the "paper support" which I believe is supposed to be on the back part of the typewriter). Overall, the appearance of the typewriter and case seem to be pretty good with assorted scuffs, stains and dings that seem consistent with its age (see photos). NOTE: THIS ITEM IS BEING SOLD "AS IS - NO RETURNS."
