Vintage Silver Ornate Repousse Betel Nut Trinket Box Thailand Lion Alligator Very Unique!
This is a very unique and beautiful betel nut box found at an estate sale. It has two animals on the top of it that appear to be engaged in a fight. One of the animals is a lion and I am guessing that the other animal is an alligator. It measures approximately 2.89" long x 2.03" wide x 1.55" high. It is 75.8 grams. This box is made of a silver metal (could be real silver -
there are no markings and research shows that most of these boxes were made of silver). I have tested this box with a very strong magnet and it was not attracted to it at all. I also tried the ice test and it immediately started melting the ice.
