This vintage camera is in great shape and comes with:
▪Zeiss Tessar 1:2.8/40mm lens
▪Tiffen lens adapter and 2 retaining rings for series 5 filters (please check my other listings for a series 5 filters and lens shade lot).
▪Lens cap
▪Leather case and strap that are in fine shape (albeit a bit worn)
▪9 cartridges of Solaris FGPlus 200iso 24 exp. 126 film. They’re dated 09/2005 but have been kept refrigerated for most (if not all) of the time since being bought new some time before that date.
This example was made in Singapore (as opposed to Germany), which I’ve read were superior in their manufacturing, as unlikely as that might seem.
The Rolleiflex SL26 was a manual-exposure SLR camera for Kodak's 126 instamatic film. Three lenses were available, all from Carl Zeiss: the Tessar 1:2.8/40mm, which was supplied with the camera, the wide-angle Pro-Tessar 1:3.2/28 mm, and the portrait Pro-Tessar 1:4/80mm. The camera was designed by the famous German camera engineer Heinz Waaske. Only 28,570 examples were made and it was the most expensive camera made for the format.
