This is a rare Aurora Talentum Roller Pen in a limited series. Tsugaru-Nuri is one of the most famous Japanese lacquer works. Released as the Kara-nuri series. Panther pattern in gold filigree.
Aurora combines their refined Italian craftsmanship with the Japanese lacquering technique, Kara-Nuri, to produce this beautiful creation. Tsugaru-nuri is a famous type of lacquerware created in Japan using Urushi, the same kind of lacquer that is used in Maki-e decorated creations.
Tsugaru-nuri features a colorful pattern (in this case, Kara-Nuri) made on a pen through sanding and applying many coats of Urushi lacquer. Each one of these beautiful creations goes through 40-50 coats of lacquer in a moisture controlled environment.
