Revell History Makers WASP Radial Engine 1/4 scale- 1983 Release - Opened

Description

Having its origins as the huge 1962 Renwal WASP Radial Engine kit, Revell obtained the molds and re-released the huge model (over 15" in diameter) in 1983 as part of its History Maker Series. Like the original Renwall model, the kit is a "Visible" kit with see-through cylinders and crankcase. Unlike Revell's smaller 1/12 scale "Cyclone" Radial which had only one "working" piston, ALL pistons, valves, rocker arms and camshafts, as well as the crankshaft and gearing in this kit and they are all in view and in motion as you turn the prop.

Molded in Red, Black, Gray and Clear. Total of 8 sealed bags of parts. Includes screwdriver.

Box has evidently sat on damp floor but not submerged...warping of bottom. No crushing of box. Two corners taped. Instructions and Illustrated guide similarly affected by moisture but pages not stuck and only minor staining (see photos). All parts bags unopened and factory sealed.

Revell produced very few of these massive kits making it a real find in any good condition.

Items are sold for the value of the item and not its boxing or packaging unless otherwise specified. We understand that collectors or resellers place a value on the original packaging. We strive to describe the packaging and its condition both in the written description as well as with photos. Bear in mind most of our items are very old and even if never opened will "age" in the best of storage conditions. If you have questions about packaging condition, please contact us before you bid or purchase.

We attempt to inventory opened items though due to the nature and quantity of parts in most of our offerings we normally can't guarantee all parts are present or in good condition. Please don't ask that we open sealed or previously unopened items. If you do discover an item is incomplete or has broken/damaged parts, please contact us for adjustment, return/refund, or other agreeable remedy. We will do what we can to reasonably resolve your issues.
