Modified Pyrite & Calcite Crystals – Location: Huallance, Dos de Mayo, Huanuco Dept., Peru. (see photo for size details). Here we have a very fine specimen of a cluster of highly modified pyrite crystals with some very beautiful defined crystals of calcite. The crystals are well-formed and sharp and highly modified showing the cube, octahedral and pyritohedral forms. The crystals are a nice brassy yellow and they have a bright metallic luster.
