Please note that items are usually dispatched within 10 working days, generally on the next TUESDAY or WEDNESDAY following cleared payment. If this constitutes a problem for you, please let me know via the Ebay messaging/ facility (not email) and I will do my best to help. Please be aware that I can usually only post once a week! I charge postage at estimated cost plus £1-2 towards expense of bubble wrap and boxes. Overseas packages under 2kgs are usually posted using ISF Registered Airmail plus insurance - this costs me £7.50 on top of the normal airmail price but it is worth the extra for safety.

Description:

Please read all information before bidding - please note the fine hairline, as described and photographed (above). Also, due to recent problems with non-paying bidders, please contact me if you have a feedback score of 3 or less. Thank you for your co-operation.

For auction here is this beautiful, antique Chinese Famille Rose porcelain wine / coffee pot, which dates from the Tongzhi period (1862-1874). The lid is not original to the wine pot, but looks fine on display.

The pot is exquisitely painted with figural scenes of a family in a garden, with lucky bats overhead. Please view the close-up photos to appreciate the fine quality and detail of the painting and gilding.

Size:

It measures around 7 1/2 inches high ( 9 1/4  inches including the lid).

Condition:

In very good antique condition, with a fine hairline on one side (diagonally from the shoulder of the pot to the lady's head - on the side with the yellow blossom on the tree) - please see photo 12 above for close-up. As mentioned previously, the lid is associated. Please view all photos for details, as they form part of the description.

INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE:I will post worldwide, using International Signed For (Airmail), Airsure or COURIER (for heavier items). Items under £50 in value may be sent via basic Airmail. I will not post by Surface Mail, please don't ask! I use large bubble and strong boxes to pack. PLEASE NOTE: COURIERED packages of ceramics/glass/ antiques cannot at present be insured for damage.

IT IS THE BUYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY ANY IMPORT / CUSTOMS / BROKERAGE FEES. ALTHOUGH ANTIQUE ITEMS ARE USUALLY EXEMPT FROM CUSTOMS DUTY, VALUABLE ANTIQUES SENT TO CHINA MAY SOMETIMES HAVE TO BE CLEARED THROUGH CUSTOMS VIA A BROKERAGE AGENT. PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO IMPORT THE ITEM / ITEMS INTO YOUR COUNTRY BEFORE BIDDING ON THE AUCTION. I WILL NOT FALSIFY CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS FOR ANY REASON - PLEASE DON'T ASK. THANKS!

PAYMENT: OVERSEAS BUYERS; PAYPAL ONLY PLEASE!! NO MONEY ORDERS OR FOREIGN BANK DRAFTS, PLEASE. UK BUYERS; Paypal, credit or debit card (via PAYPAL), UK personal cheque or postal order. If postal orders are crossed, they can't be cashed immediately and must be paid into a bank.

UK POSTAGE: All shipping is via some form of Registered Post. All items are securely packed. UK Postage is via First Class Recorded or Special Delivery. Recorded items are insured only up to £50 in value. Please use Special Delivery option for more valuable items. Insurance up to £500 is included with Special Delivery price.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SPECIAL DELIVERY DOES NOT MEAN NEXT DAY DELIVERY - THIS POSTAL METHOD IS USED BECAUSE OF THE LEVEL OF INSURANCE AVAILABLE FOR ANTIQUE ITEMS, NOT FOR SPEED OF RECEIPT. I can't get to the Post Office every day, however items are usually dispatched within 10 days of cleared payment, generally on the TUESDAY OR WEDNESDAY  following.

I use large bubble & new sturdy, double-walled boxes to pack, which may be heavier than normal boxes (and therefore a bit more costly more to ship), but offer a much greater degree of protection for fragile items.
