These are probably from the 1970s.  Classic mountaineering/backpacking/hiking/alpine/tyrolean boots in very strong rough out leather, fully leather-lined, with padded gusseted tongue, goodyear welt construction, leather covered insole, steel shank, crush resistant toe box, padded leather scree collar, reinforced heel counter, double-stitched seams, and double-stitched oil-resistant nitrile vibram sole.  The insoles say Dunham, Made in Italy, and I believe Continental Tyroleans, but there appears to also be a stamp over them that says "...Man".   They are often made by Thom McCan, Kinney, Dexter, Colorado, Asolo, or Tecnica, and now you can see them made by Fabiano, Fracap, Danner, Viberg, Visim, Merrell Wilderness and costing new upwards of $400.

This style in this size is hard to find in good condition.  Plenty of smaller pairs here on Ebay as they were usually sold to teens who would out grow them so they are still avail. These adult sizes got worn because they are great boots with lots of style. Finding them in this shape is tough. The out side has been cleaned and brushed. No corrosion or pitting on the hardware and the soles have very little wear. ONE HOOK CLASP IS BROKEN OFF.  You will either have to replace it (should cost a few bucks at a shoe repair store), or you can ignore the deeper lacing.

They do run a little large as they were designed to wear thick wool hiking sock with them and protect your toes on descent. It has an outer length of 12 3/4 inches / 32.4 cm, outer width of 4 1/4 inches / 11 cm and inside length of 11 inches / 28 cm.

The classic hiking boot — employed by mountaineers and hikers across the globe and manufactured by heritage Italian footwear brands like Vasque and Scarpa — has now moved beyond the mountain. Versions of the boot can be seen adorning mannequins in New York’s Bergdorf Goodman or London’s Dover Street Market. Classic hiking boots are characterized by their full-grain leather upper (though some also use suede), beefy rubber outsole and D-ring-style lace hardware. Pairing these vintage-inspired hikers with raw denim is the perfect way to elevate your style — without sacrificing any functionality.
