This lens is in mint- codition. and teleconverter is also in exc condition. Selling both as a set because the converter is stuck to the lens. I can't seem to be able to remove it. Coverter does not deteriorate image quality so you are getting an effective focal length of 200mm F/3.5 that is super sharp and super light and very small compared to a similar lens of equal focal length and aperture.
Mechanical: focus smooth. aperture snappy. blades dry.
Optical: clear. no fungus. no haze. practically no dust. Images are sharp and contrasty.
PLEASE NOTE: the converter cannot be removed from the lens. The converter will work on manual focus only. Even though this converter has electronic contacts, it was designed for the older film cameras so as to make it possible to use manual focus Nikkor lenses on an autofocus camera. The converter provided a crude form of autofocus for manual focus lenses. But that was for film cameras alone. THIS CONVERTER WILL NOT AUTOFOCUS ON DIGITAL CAMERAS so please purchase with full knowledge that you are purchasing a "MANUAL FOCUS ONLY" LENS AND CONVERTER.
All that aside, the combination is superb and works perfect on digital cameras, albeit, as a manual focus set.
