The pictures shows a lot of 12 Sylvania 6SN7GTB/ECC32 tubes with Chrome Dome and black tri plate with three mica. All have matching dates. These tested an average of 90/90 per side (the actual test range was from 85-92).  Please see the picture I have from Vintage Valley News of the Shootout of 6SN7 Tubes. relative to others, these Sylvanias are  rated 95 and have a great review. Treat your vintage amp to some amazing vintage  tubes.

IF you are looking at this auction and tubes, welcome to the enhanced and renewed world of HI Fi.  These large bottle octal preamp tubes have some of the best sonic qualities and are far superior to the small bottle preamp tubes like 12au7.  These were built rugged, to a military industrial grade (modern chinese and russian tubes are not built the same way, which is my vintage tubes like these are so prized).  I will assume most folks know what the letters mean at the end of the tube. If not I will explain. the GT ending means they can handle 300 volts safety.  tubes with GTA or GTB designation can handle voltage up to 450 volts, like more modern amps put out. that means these tubes for auction are the most rugged ones out there and highly prized.

How prized you ask? so prized that I have seen other ebay sellers offer these same tubes for $59, $79, even $99 for each single tube after a guy presumably wearing a white coat has tested these and printed out a little paper with some specs for each tube - like it was a dog pedigree or something.

And where do those "special high testing tubes" come from? -- Not from some cryogenic vault.Tthey come from people like me who sell tested qood quality tubes such as these for auction.

How do I know?  because the same people charging $59, $79 and $99 for a single tube, look at my auctions and try to get me to sell a batch of these to them for about $3-$6 a tube before shipping. so that is where their "super" tubes come from. People like me.

I decline. The price I am offering them, at $15 per, in a batch, is a reasonable price and gives you HI Fi folks a chance to buy a batch of tested, validated tubes and discover for yourself, the joy of tube rolling and knowing the ones you buy from me are good, will sound good, and you will be confident knowing that a tube either works or it doesn't. The pedigree may not add that much value to what your ears eventually tell you about a tube.

At the end of the day, Tone is in the ear of beholder. No tube tester or oscilloscope can guarantee that.  It all depends on the application and the ear of the audio enthusiast.

Enjoy. and happy hunting on EBAY.

I Test on my calibrated B &K 700 Tube Tester and my SECO Model 78 Grid Circuit Tube Tester, No Shorts and Good Continuity. Tube Tester Scale reads. 60 (fail) 65 (minimum good) relative to power test given above to tube or tubes on this auction.

*** Disclaimer. Why Buy it Now?  I list these as Buy It Now because EBAY no longer gives discounts to sellers who do auction style. I list these at what I believe are a fair price or what the current market value it.

It is highly unlikely I will sell it for appreciably less than what I am offering it for at Buy It Now. You are welcome to offer less, but don't take it personal if I decline or respond back with a counter offer within  10 percent of what I originally asked for it.. -- George Kostyrko

.  International shipping is extra and probably starts at about $28 US and goes up. These are mailed out as Priority Mail Postage insurance is included. Average cost for international shipping insured starts at $30.

Overseas customers are valued. If you like what you see. Email me your needs.

We can work something out.

I ship typically once a week. At the end of any given week, either Friday or Saturday morning. I go to the post office because of the high number of international shipments I have. So,  depending on when an auction ends, it could take me five or six days to actually ship it.

This is a part time hobby of mine. I apologize in advance for any delays or inconveniences this may present to you. Thank you for your understanding. -- George

I Do not clean dust and dirt off of tubes that I sell in lots such as these preamp tubes. Many buyers would prefer to clean them themselves, so that they can choose whether or not to keep the silk screening with the brand name on the tubes or not.

Early on I used to clean these tubes. However I got complaints from folks if some of the silk screening name was removed. I leave that to the buyer. You will note my low reserve price for these lots.
