Welcome to Musicdungeon, you are looking at an incredibly cool piece. This is the Fender Custom Shop 1969 Stratocaster NOS. 25.5" scale. 1.66" nut width. 7 lbs 12 oz.
This Strat is absolute stunner- both visually and sonically.
Built by Custom Shop Master Builder Todd Krause, all the stops were pulled out on this beauty.
Starting off with a mid light weight alder body, this Strat has sweet mids with a solid bottom end.
The semi light weight offers a good balance of natural 'acoustic' resonance and midrange push.
Grabbing up this tone are a trio of Custom Shop 69 single coil pickups.
These were wound to faithfully recreate the tone of the original 1969 pickups.
The bridge position has the classic Strat 'spank' but with a bit more 'body' behind it.
So, you know the neck position is going to be incredible- huge syrupy sustain while retaining definition.
'2' & '4' offer the tight cleans and Hendrix-y overdrives, and a bit more true to form given the custom wound 69 pickups.
And, when you add gain, this is just a monster- so even and tonally balanced.
An absolute tone machine.
The neck here is .90" thick(5th) fret with a U profile- a great full feel. Combine that with the classic 7.25" radius and you've got a real player.
The look here is very impressive- Yellowed Olympic White finish, mint pickguard, 'F' tuners, large black dot markers, and chrome hardware.
This Strat is super clean- owned as a collector piece.
Set up with action of just over 3/32" at the 12th fret low E.
This auction includes the original hardshell case in pics, bar, leather strap, ash tray bridge cover, and COA.
