Stunning Seiko SKX007J 'J - JAPANESE SPEC BLACK DAY / DATE'

This SKX is Seiko's much loved ubiquitous  automatic diver in a simply stunning refurbished as new condition. This watch can trace its roots back over 40 years back through the 7002 and 6309 lines. If a watch ever punched above its weight, then in my eyes at least, this is certainly it. This is also the rarer 'J - Made in Japan' version that's coveted by collectors and recognisable by the added '21 Jewels' text on the dial. As I've said before, whether there's actually any benefit to the 'J' over the 'Rest Of World K' version is hotly debated. Personally, I like the added text on the  Tuna style dial, which I think sets the watch off nicely. This particular piece has then been further enhanced with the addition of a set of 'Plongeur' style hands in white and orange to compliment the dial perfectly. This is one of my favourite mods, as it simply has a fun yet factory look about it. 

The watch has been fully striped and serviced with all seals replaced. It's  been pressure tested to ensure its capable of the job it was designed for, with the case professionally refinished and looking fantastic in an 'as new' condition. It's then been regulated on a vibrograph for accuracy, well within factory settings. It's finally finished off with the addition of a brand new Seiko Z22 rubber strap.

It's a very good addition to any collection and an absolutely stunning watch to look at. These retail at over £280 new, without the modifications, so this fully refurbished item provides an outstanding opportunity to acquire a much admired piece at an excellent price.

This is a sizeable watch with a good weight and presence on the wrist that looks at home with both smart and casual attire. A lovely addition to any Seiko collection.

Please note, although fully refurbished, serviced and sealed, this is a used watch so may have the odd mark indicative of its preloved condition, with no guarantees given or implied. And although accurate, these aren't a quartz watch regarding accuracy but do have a lot more soul to them.
