This is a 4' long x 30" wide LiteRamp™ portable wheelchair ramp (LiteRamp LR4).
It will help a wheelchair or scooter to get over thresholds, curbs, and short steps. We are a Virginia based company and we have been manufacturing this type of portable handicap ramps since 2003.
Ramp can fold in half along the centerline from left to right. There is a handle on the ramp so that you can carry it like a suitcase. It is therefore nick named "suitcase ramp". Ramp is made of light-weight aircraft aluminum and only weights 21 lbs. Our ramps are 100% self-supporting and require NO permanent installation (although it has anchor holes for semi-permanent mount).
The top side is fully covered with a sandpaper-like non-skid tape - an expensive
part that's missing from cheaply built ramps. Non-skid tape retains its traction for safety even when it gets wet.
For typical wheelchair or scooter use, the ideal vertical height for this ramp is about 8 inches.
