On offer is a rare antique ceramic “Cream” pot / pail
Unmarked on the bottom, although the stamp could have worn away.
I have seen a couple of similar antique pots for “Pure Milk” but none for Cream.
Research suggests that these ceramic wear would have been intended as display pieces in the windows of retail dairies suggesting they were made in small numbers.
The pot is made from a white bodied earthenware. It features a pansy floral decoration and has the words “CREAM” in navy uppercase lettering to the front.

Condition
The pot is in overall great antique condition. It does however have minor glaze crazing and 1 chip on the top side between 10 and 11 o’clock when looking from the front. Despite this chip I still think this pot is a truly stunning pot and displays beautifully.
Please note that the item is vintage and does show signs of its age such as tarnish, surface wear, marks etc.
