You are bidding on a set of THREE of my hand painted 54 mm Confederate mounted 1st Virginia Cavalry in action at Brandy Station early during the afternoon of June 9th, 1863!  These three figures come uniformed in the typical Cavalry uniforms with gray shell jackets, with one figure with a Virginia cavalry uniform with black trim and the two others with the typical yellow Cavalry trim, with variations of gray, butternut and sky blue pants and various styles of cavalry boots!  Organized early in 1861, they were led by the famous General J. E. B. Stuart, probably the best Cavalry officer at the outset of the conflict and for most of the War!

They established themselves as a force to be reckoned with, fighting in most of the more famous Eastern battles, including First Manassas, Seven Days, Second Manassas, Brandy Station, Gettysburg, The Wilderness, Yellow Tavern, etc., plus numerous cavalry raids and skirmishes during the War!

I've hand painted these realistic looking figures, three different mounted poses from Imex, all mounted on Imex cavalry horses, including the featured color bearer with a custom made battle flag, taken from a Toy Soldiers of San Diego figure and hand painted and decorated with the unit's ID on the flag!  I also added a resin 1/32 hand made carbine, which I mounted on his carbine strap  for added realism!  This figure wears a black trimmed uniform with stripes across his chest, the early war uniform of Virginia cavalrymen!  the other figures include his sword over his head, a second figure firing his carbine, and the third figure fires his two revolvers at an unseen enemy!  (Using more than one revolver was very popular with cavalrymen on both sides as it was difficult to reload the black powder weapons once mounted and in combat!)  I trimmed all three of these UNIQUE Confederate cavalry troopers in their piped shell jackets, and also hand painted their horses, equipment and weapons to add to their realistic appearance!

After hand painting all of my soldiers and accessories with quality acrylic paints (bright trim is done in enamel), I overcoat them with acrylic flat finish to give them a museum type finish as well as giving them a protective coat over the painted details.

This nicely finished group would make an interesting looking display in most anyone's Civil War display or 54mm toy soldier collection!! And with the 150th Anniversary of this momentous event in our Nation's history just concluded, a neat way to display your remembrance of the Civil War!

Ebay's new regulations categorize items such as this one as "used" as it's not sealed in it's original box, but it is like "new" and only removed from it's packaging to allow me to clean off the mold seams and hand paint them as you see them in the photos.
