Though the GSR100EXL is a fairly "no-frills" kind of bass guitar, it does feature the comfort and playability you'd get from Ibanez's more high-end Soundgear models, and it's Powerpole Dual Coil pickups give you a high output usually missing from beginner basses. The bottom side has a reasonably deep cutaway that allows good access to the lower frets. Plus, this bass has a stealthy gloss ebony finish to match its inspiring tone, too. If you're going to get the hang of playing electric bass, this is a quality choice to get your chops up to snuff on. Do not miss out on it!


Cosmetic and Functionality Description

  • Body:  the top and sides all look almost flawless; though there is not buckle rash on the back, there is a noticeable scratch across the back, plus there are a couple of dings along the top edge of the body contour
  • Neck, Fretboard, and Headstock:  the fretboard looks virtually flawless; the back of the neck has a few very small indentations down the center, but these are virtually unnoticeable to the touch and should not affect the neck's comfortable feel; the headstock has some light scuff marks on the front facing and around the edges
  • Action and Playability: the neck is straight and the action is nice and low; the truss rod functions properly, however the truss rod cover is missing
  • Frets: very light wear
  • Hardware:  all looks fantastic
  • Electronics:  all functions flawlessly
  • Includes:  electric bass guitar (case/gig bag not included)
