Product Detail: This product is designed to provide remote control switching between the superb enhanced “loud mode” exhaust tone that Astons can deliver and the sometimes more practical “quiet mode” by the press of a button on an "Aston Quality" remote control key fob where the unlock symbol releases that superb enhanced or "loud" sound.
Note: The default setting for this item in standard form is that it will start up in quiet mode and switch to loud mode when the unlock button is pressed. Should you prefer your own Aston to start up in loud mode and switch to quiet mode when the lock button is pressed, then please advise by email when ordering and I will configure your unit for reverse operation.
Product Location: The unit and all associated cabling is entirely housed within the existing fuse box located in the boot of the V8 & V12 Vantage and is very easily accessed. The structure of the fuse box is not modified in any way and the lid refits onto the existing moisture seal to provide a totally covert installation.
Why 5 Aston Product Variants ? This is not a "plug and play with connectors" fitment, the 3 cables involved (note similar products typically have 5 cables) are all the correct length and fitted with the correct (push in fit) connections. The unit that you will receive will have been designed specifically for the ultimate ease of install on your variant of Aston. (the relay versions S5 / S6 & S/8 also come complete with a Genuine Aston Martin supplied replacement relay included)
Detailed instructions take you through a couple of simple steps using photos that are taken on installations for your particular variant of Aston. Hence its 100% ready to go, without further programming, adjusting or fettling. This gives an install time of just 2 minutes when I install on all versions except the Rapide (which is a 25 to 30 minute task)
Product Fitting: It’s important to recognise that this device is supplied as a complete and bespoke fitment for your model Aston. With correct length cabling and connectors attached to allow instant push fit connections without any tools (save for the fuse removing tool which I supply). Fitting takes just me just 2 minutes, detailed instructions with photos specific to your model are included as is phone support in the unlikely event that its required.

Product Operation: The unit operates by controlling the exhaust vacuum solenoid direct from the key fob, where the lock symbol is the locked down quiet mode and unlock symbol is the superb loud mode that would otherwise not be activated until you are north of 4000 RPM.
The unit is set to be in normal or quiet mode as the default, this will utilise the existing vacuum controls to hold the by pass valves in the exhaust box in quiet mode until revs are north of 4000 RPM, operating totally as Aston originally designed it to. The Unlock button can then be operated at any time after start up to unlock the superb enhanced exhaust note that gives such a delightful distinctive enhanced tone, from around 1500 RPM upward towards 4000 RPM (a very common rev range for day to day driving)
