VINTAGE 1960s MODEL OF A CLIPPER SHIP IN A BOTTLE - GREAT REPUBLIC 1853'

This vintage model of a clipper ship in a bottle dates from around the 1960s. The ship depicted is titled as the 'Great Republic' of 1853, an American ship and the largest wooden clipper ship ever constructed. The ship is nicely constructed. There are no maker's marks. The bottle is mounted on a black-painted wooden base. 

Condition: Overall in very good condition with some wear consistent with age. The paper sails have some discolouration (browning), as does the name plaque. The bottle itself is a little grubby and there are some imperfections in the glass. The wooden base is dusty.
