This amazing bracelet was made by the firm of Murrle, Bennett and Company, an Anglo-German firm started by Ernst Murrle and J.B. Bennett, which produced pieces for retail by 'Liberty and Co.', the famous London Store.

The company was in existence from 1884-1914, this bracelet was most likely made around 1900. They specialised in high quality affordable silver and gold jewellery. They produced pieces predominately in the Art Nouveau style, as their designs were often characterised by abstract motifs typical of this era.

After World War I, the company was renamed White Redgrove & Whyte. Murrle Bennett & Co jewellery is now highly sought-after and widely collected.

This late Victorian antique opal and blister pearl 15ct gold bracelet was handcrafted in London around 1900. It features three oval cabochon cut white opals, set in 15 carat gold each measuring  8mm x 6mm in open back mounts.  There are also three blister pearls each measuring 9mm x 6mm in closed back mounts. Each panel is decorated by 2 vine leaves.

The panels that link the stones are each 2cm long x 5mm wide. It has its original secure bolt ring clasp marked 15ct and  2 small loops to attach a safety chain if desired.  Total length is 8 inches.

It is marked to the rear with 15ct and MBco, the M is a little faint.

This beautiful bracelet comes in a velvet lined Victorian presentation box , William Greenwood & Sons of Leeds.
