Overview DEll -XPS9350-5340SLV
Go beyond Full HD 1080p with the silver anodized
aluminum 13.3" XPS 13 9350 Multi-Touch Notebookfrom Dell.
Featuring a 13.3" QHD+ InfinityEdge IGZO IPS display, the XPS 13 has a
3200 x 1800 native resolution. The display is also a touchscreen so you'll be
able to utilize the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows 10. Since
the screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, it supports 1080p Full HD content natively
with no or minimal letterboxing. The visuals are handled by integrated Intel HD
Graphics 520 and the display also has a brightness of 400 cd/m2 and
viewing angles of 170°.
The system is powered by a 6th-generation Skylake 2.5 GHz
Intel Core i7-6500U Dual-Core processor that allows you to run multiple
applications simultaneously. If you need more power, the processor also
features a burst speed of up to 3.1 GHz, and the system's 8GB of 1866 MHz
LPDDR3 RAM allows the computer to quickly access frequently-used files and
programs, as well as help to ensure efficient multitasking.
For long-term storage of your files, the XPS 13 9350 has a
256GB PCIe SSD. For connecting to the Internet, this notebook is equipped with
dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi. External peripherals, such as additional storage,
optical drivers, printers, and more may be connected using the 1 x Thunderbolt
3 port, which supports native DisplayPort 1.2 video output. VGA, HDMI,
Ethernet, and USB Type-A may be output using a separately sold Dell adapter.
The system also has 2 x USB 3.0 ports, one of which has PowerShare technology
for device charging, even if your system is turned off. Additional compatible
peripherals may also be paired using Bluetooth 4.1 technology.
Whether you are listening to music, watching a movie, or
playing a game, the integrated stereo speakers have MaxxAudio and offer high
quality sound. There is also an integrated 720p webcam with dual array digital
microphones that allows you to engage in face-to-face conversations using Skype
or other software.
The 13.3" XPS 13 9350 Multi-Touch Notebook includes an
AC adapter and a 4-cell / 56Wh Lithium-ion battery that lasts for up to 18
hours before recharging is required. The installed operating system is Windows
10 Home (64-bit).
Dell XPS 13
13.3" QHD+ Multi-Touch Infinity Display
The XPS 13 has a 13.3" QHD+ infinity display with a 3200
x 1800 native resolution. You'll be able to experience sharp text, detailed
picture quality, and vibrant colors. The display is also a touchscreen so
you'll be able to utilize the multi-touch gestures incorporated into Windows
10. Since the screen has a 16:9 aspect ratio, you'll still be able to play
1080p Full HD content natively with no or minimal letterboxing. The thin bezel
frees up the screen space in this innovative design. The three-sided, virtually
borderless infinity display measures a miniscule 0.2" (5.2mm) border,
which is less than 2% of the total display.
Dual-Core 6th-Gen Skylake Intel Core Performance
The XPS 13 houses a 6th generation Skylake Intel Core
i7-6500U processor. Its dual cores can reach a stock speed of 2.5 GHz. The
processor can also reach up to 3.1 GHz, thanks to Intel Turbo Boost 2.0
technology. With a dedicated 4MB L3 cache, 8GB of 1866 MHz LPDDR3 RAM, and
Intel Hyper-Threading technology, you'll be able to push the dual cores up to
four virtual cores for quick and efficient multitasking.
Thunderbolt 3
Thunderbolt 3 features bi-directional speeds of up to 40
Gb/s and supports four lanes of PCIe Gen 3, 8 lanes of DisplayPort 1.2 (HBR2
and MST), dual 4K displays or one 5K display, 10 Gb/s USB 3.1, up to 100W
system charging and 15W to bus-powered devices, network speeds of up to 10GbE
between computers, and daisy chaining for up to six devices
802.11ac Wi-Fi & Bluetooth 4.1
Featuring dual-band 802.11ac Wi-Fi, the XPS 13 delivers high
performance, broader coverage, and longer battery life. The XPS 13 also comes
with Bluetooth 4.1 technology so you'll be able to connect wirelessly to
Bluetooth-compatible peripherals and accessories.
Solid State Drive
Get quicker boot times, faster application launches, and
overall enhanced performance with the 256GB solid state drive in the XPS 13.
And because solid state drive technology does not use moving parts, you get a
more durable storage solution less prone to physical damage or mechanical
failure.
USB 3.0
USB 3.0 supports data transfer speeds of up to 5 Gb/s, which
is up to 10 times faster than USB 2.0. USB 3.0 is also backwards compatible
with USB 2.0 so you can still use your older USB-compatible devices. The XPS 13
has 2 x USB 3.0 ports, one of which doubles as an always-on charging port
3-in-1 SD Card Reader
The 3-in-1 card reader supports SD, SDHC, and SDXC media
Up to 18 Hours Battery Life
The 4-cell / 56Wh lasts for up to 18 hours before recharging
is required. Using the optional Dell Power Companion, the battery can last for
up to an additional 10 hours, for a total of 28 hours
Windows 10 Home (64-bit)
Start Menu
After its hiatus in Windows 8, the Start Menu has returned.
Utilizing a combination of the traditional menu system and Windows 8's Live
Tiles, the improved Start Menu gives you more information at a glance, showing
notification information alongside your applications and other pinned items
Cortana
Microsoft's digital personal assistant, Cortana can answer
your questions with information gleaned from both your device and the internet
at large. You can type or even talk with her, if your system has a microphone.
Using her Notebook, Cortana keeps track of your needs and wants, and she learns
over time to improve her information gathering skills
Seamless Integration of Multi-Touch Gestures
Windows 10 supports multi-touch gestures. Now, you can use
your keyboard, mouse, or the touchpad using simple gestures. Whether you're
browsing apps, reading a book, or typing on the go with touch, you'll be able
to seamlessly switch between all three interactive components. With the
touchpad, Windows 8.1 allows you to use multi-touch gestures, such as swipe,
drag, tap, slide, pinch-to-zoom, and more.
Microsoft Edge
After nearly 20 years, Microsoft has finally replaced its
Internet Explorer web browser. With it, users can write directly on web pages
and share notes with friends and colleagues. It also improves the online
reading experience by adding a distraction-free mode and read-it-later
functionality. Edge also has built-in Cortana integration; you can have her
help you find a restaurant, make a reservation, and pull up directions without
leaving your browser
Windows Store
For Windows 10, Microsoft has unified the Windows Store.
Now, apps for PCs, tablets, and phones will all be accessible from one place.
And with support for Universal Apps, one version of an app can work across all
your compatible devices automatically
Windows Continuum
Windows 10 was designed for a variety of screen sizes and
input styles, and with its Continuum feature, it automatically adapts to fit
your needs. A Windows 10 tablet on its own requires a touch-centric approach,
but attaching a mouse and keyboard will shift everything to a more traditional
interface. You can even attach an external monitor to your Windows 10 phone for
a near-desktop experience. But it's not just the operating system; Windows
Universal Apps take advantage of Continuum as well
Xbox on Windows 10
Gaming is a big focus of Windows 10. Xbox integration allows
for PC players to match up against Xbox One players on supported games, and if
you have an Xbox One, you can even stream compatible titles to your PC. Native
support for recording with the new Game DVR feature makes it easy to capture
and share your gameplay. The new DirectX12 takes better advantage of multi-core
processors, giving games a performance boost, even on older hardware. Windows
10 also features native support for virtual reality headsets, such as the
Oculus Rift
