The Limited Editions Club was founded in 1929 by George Macy with the intent of publishing beautifully illustrated and designed classic literature for a limited number of subscribers. Much of the Club’s fame stems from its use of some of the best illustrators and artists available. Each title was uniquely designed with individualized paper, cover materials, and most books are numbered and signed by the Illustrator.

All 5 Volumes  are bound in black Irish linen with rust-colored, gilt-lettered cloth spine labels, (see photos)

The book size: 10 3/4” high x 7 1/2” wide, 1,465 pages  

Considering their age, these Books are on average Very Good+ condition, with no bookplates or labels, very little wear/foxing/sun fading (see photos)

The Slipcase is in Very Good condition, some scuffing/soiling/sun fading (see photos)
