Cosmetic Condition:
This unit is in good cosmetic condition showing some signs of wear. There is some scuffing on the top of the unit. It is heavier towards the front on the left side of the top. The face has a few light scuffs and dings but is much cleaner than the top of the the unit. The display is in excellent condition.
Functionality:
Unit has been fully tested and all functions and features appear to work correctly. Note that this unit does not have a power button. In fact when you plug it on the display does not come on right away. You can hear the fan running but if you do not have it hooked to the TV you would not even know it was on. When you hook it to the TV even though the display is not on it will display the Welcome Powering Up as shown in my pictures. Then it boots to the TIVO Screen and finally to the TIVO Central Screen. From here you can navigate the different menu options. You will need a remote to do this as I used my Harmony Universal remote for testing. I went to the now playing list and it has several old episodes saved on the unit. I was going to factory reset it but I didn't know if the new owner wanted to take a look first.
Next I tested the DVD recording by inserting a blank Verbatim DVD-R disc. It read the disc and from there I selected a couple programs to record. After the recording I played back the discs. Everything looked to be properly working.
I do not have a TIVO hookup so I was not able to get into that part of the testing but from what I saw and tested this unit looks to be good to go. If you have any problems please let me know!
This is a top of the line recorder that passed all my tests.
