For sale is a used Canon EF 300mm f/4 L IS USM professional telephoto lens with the original caps and pull out hood in box. This lens is in great working condition. The lens body shows sign of wear and tear as shown in the listing pictures. There is a crack on the pull-out hood. It has no effect on the lens function. The lens can be used under this condition without any problem and it would be a simple replacement if you really want to fix it. The glass is excellent - no scratch or marks at all. USA lens. This is an IMAGE STABILIZER (IS) model lens. The lens provides a camera-shake blur correction effect equal to an increase of two steps of shutter speed, greatly expanding the range of handheld photography even with slow speed film and under low light or other difficult conditions.

A compact and lightweight 300mm super-telephoto lens with Image Stabilizer(IS), similar to EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM. The Image Stabilizer shifts a lens group(11th to 13th elements) in parallel to the film plane. Camera shake is a major cause of blurred images especially with telephoto lenses. The IS system helps resolving this problem. The image stabilizing effect is equivalent to about two steps of shutter speed. "IS Mode 2" is newly applied to stabilize finder images at panning shots of moving subjects. The optical system uses two UD (Ultra-low Dispersion) glass lens elements(2nd & 5th) to compensate secondary spectrum and provide sharp, high-contrast images from maximum aperture.
