This will fit the HD650, HD600, HD414, HD25sp, HD265, HD580 and other HD series that take a symmetrical cable with HPSC spade type connectors.

We here at Custom Cans try make sure all our products give the best price verses performance ratio we can offer. We have done extensive research and testing to produce this cable and have had great feedback from people all around the world.
When designing and testing the cable sound quality was obviously at the top of our list but giving it good ergonomics was also a goal. To give the best sound we have used high quality components like cardas HPSC connectors, Neutrik jacks and our PTFE coated SPC cable. The cable has then been braided in a Litz pattern to reduce RFI, EMI and crosstalk and our extra thick Teflon coating helps give our cables a very low capacitance. The cable itself is a 19 strand silver plated copper, some people prefer a solid silver core but that reduces the flexibility of the cable and tends to be more brittle than SPC or copper and of course it increases the cost quite a lot. As ours it 19 strand of 0.14mm copper wire each coated in silver it has quite a high silver content and as the silver is much lower resistance than the copper most of the signal travels town the silver while the copper core keeps it malleable and flexible.
 
Ergonomically -  we wrap the cable in nylon paracord which has quite a silky finish to help reduce microphonics and give the cable a nice feel and look - we offer a range of colours and patterns and can offer the cable "naked" if you want it as light as possible.
 
Due to the fact that each of the internal cables has a PTFE dielectric and are then braided they have very low capacitance to stop smearing, low inductance and because of the high silver content they also have much lower resistance than the standard cable giving you a nice clean signal path to get the best out of your headphones
 
 It is comprised of 2 cardas HPSC connectors and a raen / neutrik straight 3.5mm ( 1/8" ) but you can have different jack options if required like 1/4" , XLR or any other standard connector.

We have different options available, black, white, blue stripe, green, red, safety red, or glow in the dark white.  Please use the notes to let us know which colour you wanted, we'll assume you want black if you don't tell us otherwise.  Other colours may be available - please contact us to find out.

Here comes the science bit

Silver Plated OFC cable to decreases resistance and give more detail vs standard copper

Teflon dielectric coating to help stop crosstalk between left and right channels

Litz braided by hand from the jack to the Y split and then twisted pair to the HPSC connectors  to further reduce crosstalk and inductance without straining the cable during production

Soldered with silver solder - To keep the signal path as clean as possible. The cable is soldered directly to the Cardas HPSC connectors rather than splicing on the original sennheiser connectors which is done on some of the cheaper ones on ebay.

Rhodium plated HPSC connectors - this stops corrosion, gives a great connection and rhodium is much harder than gold so less likely to ware off.
