You are bidding on one Robin Medley USA swamp ash hand made guitar with Jackson case.  A guitar like this would cost you close to $2,000 if ordered new from Robin Guitars today!

Bid with confidence, I have been registered with eBay under the same user name for more than 13+ years! This guitar is all original, in excellent condition with only a little light checking on the top (see last picture), a little finish wear on the bridge saddles from palm muting, a clean back with no buckle rash, no neck pocket cracks, no striped screw holes and very light fret wear.  The action on this guitar is very low, Kahler tremolo stays in tune very well (does that Steve Vai "Flutter" effect perfectly) and the guitar plays and sounds fantastic with zero issues!  The case is in good shape but does have some sticker residue on the outside but is clean inside and fits the guitar wonderfully.  I will also include a little locking nut tool, that I made, that works better than a standard hex wrench.

The neck on this guitar has a very slim contour (not quite a wizard neck) with a 1 11/16 nut width and a very flat fret board radius.  This is definitely a "shedders" guitar!  If you want to “Cover” Van Halen stuff this guitar does it like no other guitar I have played! In fact this is the best hammer-on guitar I’ve played as well. However, it is very versatile as well and is great for Blues with a wonderful “Quack” tone in pickup positions 2 & 4.  I owned two of these Robin Medleys and sold one a little while ago but vowed I'd never sell this one and here I am selling it.  To many guitars, not enough playing time.

The guitar features a solid Southern Louisiana Swamp Ash body with a deep red hand rubbed nitro finish, 24 fret flame maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard, genuine Seymour Duncan Custom TB-5 Trembucker in the bridge and Hotrails pickups in the middle and neck positions, Sperzel tuners, 3-way pickup selector volume tone controls with a pull split on the tone control, and a recessed Kahler (made in USA) Steeler locking tremolo system (not the inferior Spyder) with matching black tremolo arm. Many consider the Kahler Steeler model the best tremolo ever made and was used by high end builders like John Suhr, Tom Anderson, Zion guitars and others while Kahler made them.  The Steeler has a Rockwell steel hardness measurement higher than the German made Floyd and has a flatter radius for modern guitars without using the shims that you need with Floyd tremolos (Floyds are 10 degree radius to fit older strat necks).

The finish quality on this guitar is superb as you would expect from a fine, hand made instrument.  Unlike cheaper import guitars that spray on one thick, soft, tone robbing coat of paint these Robin guitars have multiple thin coats of a very hard finish that are hand wet sanded between coats.  It is very scratch resistant and doesn't soak up the natural resonating tone of the guitar wood.

Please Note - Pictures 3 and 4 best represent the color of this guitar.
