Note from us about blue tinted halogen bulbs:
The only way to have a stronger blue tint from a halogen sidelight bulb would be to have a deeper blue tint to the bulb, or to go down the LED route; both of which have problems. 1st the lumen output (brightness) of a deeper coated bulb would be too low to meet ECE approval (no E-Mark) due to the reduced transparency of the glass, and the 2nd reason is that LED retrofits are still not road legal for exterior us. Both of which should fail MOT at a good garage.
