**************************************  "THE ORIGINAL" Bending Jig ******************************

This is a brand new indexable bending jig for bending iron or any other material you are forging.  Bend hooks, eyes or any other forge work you want with consistency.

Comes with 8 dies made of 3/4" thick 1045 steel, in 1", 1-1/2", 2", 2-1/2", 3", 4", 5", and 6" diameters.  Each die has a series of holes spaced from it to accept all common sized stock.  Just pick the diameter bend you want, put the 1/2" hardened dowel pin in the center hole of the base plate to accept the die and put the other 1/2" dowel pin in the hole that best fits the stock you want to bend.  Then just heat up your piece and bend it around the die.  You can mark the base with soap stone if you wish for a reference stop to make repeated bends all the same.

With this set includes the 9" diameter, 3/4" thick base indexing plate, the 8 dies, two hardened dowel pins and a 1" piece of square stock to be welded onto the bottom of the base indexing plate to accept a one inch hardy hole in your anvil.  If you require a different size square stock for your hardy hole, let me know and I will replace the 1" with the size you require.  I will also weld this on for you if you do not have access to a welder at no extra cost, just let me know at check out.

********** PLEASE LET ME KNOW AT CHECKOUT HOW YOU WANT THE JIG (1" OR DIFFERENT SIZE SQUARE STOCK AND WELDED ON OR NOT), SO I CAN GET IT IN THE MAIL TO YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE **********

This jig also works well in the post vise and the square stock allows you to rotate the jig to put it in the best position for the bend you are going to do.  I probably use mine in the post vise more than the anvil, but it gives you the option to use either one.

I have sold many of these and everyone that I've talked to says they wouldn't be without one!  One guy even said you couldn't pry it from his cold, dead hands!!

******WARNING********  Watch out for imitations

There have been some look alike jigs being auctioned off on Ebay   I've worked hard to develope a reputation for selling a high quality tool. And from a distance they may look the same but they are not. The die sizes are the only thing thing that's the same.  The hole spacing is not the same!  My holes, although in the similar spiral pattern, are spaced in a manner that every hole is a specific distance away from any die that is used.  any size die you put on has a hole to accept a pin to be spaced 1/8", 3/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4",  7/8", 1",  1-1/8 and up in at least 1/8" increments. 5" die will only go to 1" and the 6" die will only go to 1/2" because you run out of room on the base plate.  each size mentioned has a 1/16" extra clearance to accept that size stock so you have a little wiggle room so the stock doesn't stick. If you bend any stock bigger than 1/2" you have to get the material good and hot as to not put too much stress on the dowel pins.

"I have been searching for a good bending jig for 25 years. I counted 4 different jigs that I have bought over the years,

and I even have one that I made myself.  After using your jig today, I know I will never use the others again.

Thank you so very much for making this elegant set available."

SHIPPING SIDE NOTE:  Shipping to Canada is no problem, BUT the cheapest rate the US Post Office offers is $40.95 US Funds for their medium flat rate box.  The only problem with that is they only allow up to a maxiumum of 20 pounds and the jig weighs roughly 30 pounds.  So, all I can think would be to mail it in two separate medium flat rate boxes at a charge of $40.95 each for a total of $81.90 US Funds.

For Mexico or any other country, the jig would also have to be shipped in two medium flat rate boxes at a charge of $59.95 per box for a total of $119.90.

These are the post offices charges, we do not add on any handling fees.  Never have, never will.
