Our return policy should be read in light of our commitment to
providing a description of the items offered for sale based on our best effort
(after many years of experience dealing in, trading, and being a licensed appraiser
of such merchandise), to accurately describe what is being offered for
sale. For instance, our use of the
word antique complies with the U.S. government s definition of the term and
constitutes our warranty that the item is at least 100 years old. Other items that reflect bygone
days, but are not yet antique, are commonly referred to as vintage. Further, you should know that
reference to certain time periods can be guides to the buyer, such as Art Deco,
Art Nouveau, Victorian, Ming, Ch ing, Sung, or Meiji. Items carrying such descriptions reflect the seller s
judgment and experience and, accordingly, pricing. It is also important to note that there is a
significant distinction between something being of a certain period, versus
being made in the style of the period. Unscrupulous competitors may confuse the two; we do
not.
If you can articulate why our
description is in error, we will accept return of your purchase as stated in our "Terms" so long as we hear from you in advance and you absorb the
cost of insured shipping.
That means, as e-Bay policy clearly states, buyer s remorse is no reason
for a return, nor is changing your mind for other reasons; you have to tell us
what we said or showed that was not true.
Because we want you to get what you
expect from a respected seller, we strongly urge you to make inquiry -- to seek
clarification if you have any concerns before you bid on an item. Please be mindful that unless an
item is listed as new, it should be considered pre-owned and used to the
extent of normal wear and tear.
For a more detailed report on a used item s condition, please correspond
with us. Doubts should be resolved
in advance and we can only do that if you contact us about your concerns before
bidding. If you don t do
that, be prepared to tell us exactly how we misrepresented an item or consider
the sale to be final. We can
only ensure full satisfaction if you do your part.
Lastly, we adhere to e-Bay s buyer
satisfaction policies and to federal and state laws. Venue for resolution of any legal dispute is Palm Beach
County, Florida.
